Rough plan is to meet at Newlands Corner at the Cafe and have a drive 'en convoy' to Brooklands. There's a special aviation day on the 20th....
can be a little flexible on time, but was thinking about meeting at Newlands around 10.00....
( the thread took a wander a way back so the next post of 2 might not make perfect sense )...bottom line, let's get a list going....

Re: Brooklands Museum
Martin, we did this as a group visit about 3 yrs back, i think we needed about 15 people to make it a Group, but in reality it was onlyt about a 50p saving. and no, we didnt get to park on the banking.
as for doing it again, yes i'd personally be up for it sometime, but definitely wouldnt be going anywhere near the a25 which is a worse road (imho) than the m25!
last time we had a meet point at Newlands corner and then a short 20 minute group run to the museum.....

Re: Brooklands Museum
Newlands corner, yes thats what i meant, where the cafe is , last time i drove the A25 was in May, and apart from Reigate i had vertually no traffic, but it was a friday morning, and i didnt join it earlier coming up through east grinstead ,then Crawley, but early one saturday, or sunday morning should be easier on traffic, i was enroute to Swindon, going to Godaling, Compton, farnam, Basingstoke, Newbury then Hungerford before picking up the B road, to Swindon, that was some run big smile syndrome.
I grew up in Surrey, working at Brooklands when it was part of the Bae Site. so want to go back, i did visit it once when i went home, but that was at least 10 years ago.

Hi, Sounds like fun! I'm local and have been a member at Brooklands for the last few years. What we really want is a go up the test hill!

Pretty local for me, but I haven't been since the last SKCC trip, so count me in.
