Remembrance Day Blat, Brekkie and thanks

Postby greenwoo » Fri Oct 19, 2012 3:36 pm

For those that weren't on the forum last year we arranged a Remembrance Day Blat.

At the time there were concerns about how it would work, whether we'd upset anyone etc etc etc. In reality it went extremely well and although we're a few weeks away thought i'd raise the topic.

The idea will be to have one of our 'normal' Sunday morning runs - for those that are velcro'ed to their headboard and can't get up - well come and meet the gang for brekkie and then join in a saunter to the end point.

I think the place we chose to stop last year near Pulborough was ideal and i think will serve us well a second time around. Will pop up some exact details nearer the time - but broadly - leave Buck Barn +/or Newlands and have a decent run to brekkie which in all liklihood will be at the Chalet nr Cowfold. Aiming to LEAVE there around 10.00 after a fill up on the full english......a short 20 miler to the alloted 'place' to be parked up, out of teh cars and hushed ready to give our 'thanks' at 10.45.

pop your names down please and be sure to keep an eye on this thread nearer the time for teh full details....

Sorry cant make this one but already committed to marshalling a the parade in Tonbridge. A wreath sounds a good idea and we always get from the British Legion as the money goes back to help the organisation. About £20 gets a nice wreath and if you are quick they can put a logo on it.
