Rallye Artois Lys - w/e of Sept 22/23

Postby MangoFury » Wed May 16, 2012 10:32 am

Following the fun weekend we had in France at the Rallye des Jonquilles in April, our friends at La Grange aux Damiers have published the date for the next rallye, the Rallye Artois Lys starting and finishing in Saint Venant on September 23rd.
While they have not opened entries as yet, we will contact them shortly to check if we can have a 20 car block entry as we have done in the last few events.

At this stage it's just a case of getting a feel for the level of interest in this event. For those who haven't taken part in one previously, the format would most likely be:
- Saturday morning tunnel crossing to France
- drive to lunch stop
- afternoon drive to a hotel somewhere not too far from Saint Venant
- evening beers, food and banter
- Sunday rally event
- evening return tunnel crossing to England

Typical costs are £50 tunnel return crossing, £65 event entry, £35 hotel, plus food, beer and petrol and breakdown cover.
