Amazing weather
Managed to escape the city on one of my last trips to Iceland. Coincided with a spell of fantastic weather here. I feel very privileged to have got to experience the Golden Circle on a day like today.

Re: Amazing weather
That’s amazing and lucky with the weather too. Photos are pretty darn good.
One of the places I really want to go to. As a ‘youngen’ I had a geology/physical geography background so it’s one of the “Mecca’s” to visit.

Tony, very interesting to see the contrast.
Had to make do with camera phone, but wished I'd had the DSLR. Have photos so it did happen.

I'm not sure you can find somewhere more different only 2hrs 40mins flying from London.

Re: Amazing weather
I'm staying in the guesthouse that is part of the Maltese consulate. With the tourist boom over recent years lots of extra accommodation has been added in the city.
Breakfast was a bit surreal. Although disappointed I did not get the chance to converse with any diplomats over my Cheerios.
