Rally Stages Brands Hatch Saturday 18th January 2020
As title, went along last year, good day out, lots of interesting rally cars giving it the beans. Plenty of old skool escorts being ragged silly. The circuit and surroundings are configured into a rally stage which is changed as the day progresses. I’ll be there snapping away around Druids/Paddock

Another good day out weather was cold but sunny, couldn't have been better. Nice to catch up briefly with Matt. Cars were sliding all over the place, though were full on and taking considerable damage Rally drivers are a different breed lol. No yellow flags just warning triangles behind the stranded cars, didn't slow the field down much.
Photography access was very limited today, got a few wont bore you with loads, went creative rather than take record shots, so probably not everyone's cuppa.

envious! was in the office at silly oclock and popped my head out around 9 when i heard the first of the 'pops n bangs'....sounded awesome from 2 miles away!
unfortunately as i;'d suspected, 'life' or rather crap got in the way of making it over there.
funnily enough the conditions musgt have changed because it was quiet until the latter part of the afternoon....then with dusk falling could hear the cars again.....would like to have seen them with their lights on haring round.
some good shots there Mike....

Thanks Duncan, that means a lot coming from an honest critique.
Thanks Mark, appreciated once again. Half expecting you to pop across, it was good to watch especially first thing with ice rink conditions.

Thanks Kev, trying to do a few different shots with ultra low shutter speeds, and the right amount of blur. A lot of misses tbh. I couldn’t stay, rugby beckoned, took a few of the second team which got to the Kent Messenger, which was nice.
Messing about a bit tonight with a few shots.

Got to agree with Duncan, Mike some fantastic photos. My fav is the red escort on opposite lock, How you captured that was brilliant.

Thanks Colin, really slow shutter speed and more than a little luck! Need to get enough of the car in focus to make it work which is a bit tricky when the car is moving away from you. Luckily the back was sliding across the frame enough to make it work.
