Being the usual pita. Got a noise out of it, though no oil pressure despite priming the pump twice. Either there’s too much Vaseline up the hole :o  :? or it doesn’t like priming with the oil cooler attached. Will have another look tomorrow.

Not sure Rich, putting it down to a faulty sender/gauge at the moment. The relief valve was also sticking a bit. Got a mechanical gauge connected instead. With the drill going flat out it might go to 12psi, though I think it’s pumping air. Nothing when the engine fires.

iirc I think I disconnected the oil cooler the last time. Then reconnected it at a later date. Had enough for now crawling around underneath it, will have another go tomorrow.

Stripped off again, looks like it might be the return valve in the halfrauds oil filter not returning. Chinese shite no doubt. Off to get a Mann from Euro parts and some more Vaseline

Wtf did I just type..

Don’t know what’s going on with it, new filter, sans oil cooler sandwich plate, stuffed it with Vaseline again, zilch.. took the oil filter off and pumped it, just froth. Like it’s just sucking air. There must be 8 litres of oil in the sump.

Walking away from it for now.

Had a bit of time out this afternoon over at Tonbridge, went for a wander with the camera for a short while. Was pleased with this shot.

No worries Duncan, just all gets a bit boring and soul destroying repeating the same task time again. Just need to have a think, must be something simple like spinning the drill the wrong way

not sure that set up you have, does the pump normally run off the bottom of the distributor, or do you not have a dist and have a disc instead.
