Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Spent a while this morning turning the blue bonnet yellow. Initial skim of filler where the exhaust to be and then started to remove the missing return edge that rest on the top chassis rail with a little help from my much used signage as a mould/former.

After a cuppa, well it a good start, might have to grind out the external corner and lay some more glass in there to give the edge some strength.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Rear panel need stripping and repairing, need to find somewhere to mount the horns as the new rad/fan will not do now.
Waiting for a replacement VVT solenoid to arrive as thanks to Matt's and Kevs investigations into Kev's issue highlighted my solenoid was in two pieces and might be the reason the original ECU would not start the engine.
Once I have tried that (if I dare ) I need to fit some plugs from the original ECU loom to my new ECU loom and try it out.
I have also finished painting the mount for the headlight that now need rewiring and the half of the waterproof plug fitting.

Still pottering along.
Been quietly doing work on filling the bonnet holes, now ready to try on and work out where it need extending, reshaping.
Also rebuilt the first headlight and bracket, along with new sub loom and down to the plug.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
No promises Mark.
Started extending the front edge on the bonnet ( got fed up with the small resign bottles so decided to go large ) and decide to take a different approach to taking the coating and base coat off the pass side headlight bowl with one of my purchases from the NEC car show..
