Well - it's like this......
My new SatNav doesn't like .ITNs, but will run "tracks", so I set off from home & the ITN wants to know what to do, I remembered I'd messed with the .ITN, but couldn't remember if I'd added a way back, or a way there & back & the SatNav is trying to direct me to the A3.
I don't want to do A3 / M25 / M23, so given the choice for the route of "Drive to the beginning" or "Drive to the nearest point" I elect to drive to the nearest point on the basis that I was on the track already & didn't want to go back to the start.
Then I remembered I forgotten my phone, so I go back to the house, get the phone, text GB to say I'll be a little late & set off again.
After about 35 mins I realise the SatNav is taking me to Crawley (as that's the closest point). As there are no way points on a track, I can't just edit to a known position, the SatNav has never herd of Buck Barn & there are hundreds of petrol stations to choose from. So I head for Horsham by road sign & after a while I pull over & on zooming out I realise I'm not far from Buck Barn - about 3 miles.
So I pull into BB at around five mins past the set off time & there's no obvious sign of kits in the car park as I swing by the petrol station & fill up - no problem, I'd told them not to wait.
So topped up the tank & headed out, then heard something on the radio "Who are you & where are you" I say, assuming it's Tony & GB just ahead of me, the answer was indistinct, so I pressed on, all the time thinking I'd catch them up at the inevitable Tony Stop.
As I'd been in such a hurry I didn't think to check my phone .........
Anyway - the breakfast was good
Actually, the route was very good too.
