Yes, it’s a thick paint so needs thinning but easy with the right gun
All my hoops and bones were sprayed by me on my old car and I thought it had a really good finish

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
I had one of those wire brushes kick back and embed itself in my fleece, had to unplug the fecker!
I've got the carbs and manifold for a zetec, but at the speed your going I'm not sure I will have replaced them in time, but give me a shout when you're in the market, you never know I might get enough of a wiggle on...

Good going there Rich, interesting to see how you're getting on and how quickly you make progress. If you need some man power give me a shout. Always keen to broaden my experience when it comes to our cars.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Well I have had a few hrs on a few evening this week continue to remove the various coating on the chassis whilst it sits up right on axle stands.
Including this afternoon when I have tackled the drivers side floor, chassis rails, rear panel and tunnel side.
Got two grinders on point due to getting rather warm to the touch spinning the large diameter wire brushes, managed to blag a proper filtered face mask so hopefully will have some lungs left to drive it when it is rebuilt.
As expected found quite a lot of pitting on the floor sections, some of which I was aware of but not of the hidden ones under the seats.
Trusty screwdriver found one hole on drivers side, needs a section cut out and laid in.
Thinking of replacing the drivers side front section but will wait till I flip it over a clean the underside before deciding.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Another day in the garage today, starting out with cleaning out the corner of the sections of the floor with a drill mounted wire shaped like a pear, drill mounted as it was quieter for the street party.
Later I had a go at removing some of the snapped and seized screws I had to cut off during the strip down using two locking nuts or in some cases drilling the whole lot out and repairing the area with weld ready from redrilling.
Later I flipped the chassis on it side and tackled most of the underside coatings, the drivers side floor seems to have some years left in it yet, save for the hole I found yesterday.
Started to get that ready for replacing.

Great work rich, must admit I would’ve found a local shot blaster - having gone through those wire brushes on masonary before I share your pain when they fly off and implant in your flesh!
Great that the chassis is in a good state though
Keep the updates coming

All your work makes my forthcoming fibreglass work to make good the previous pinto exhaust holes next week look rather tame, keep up the good work
