Damn, yesterday it turns out the pulley squeal stopped as a hose blew off, so it's back again. I don't think I can make the belt wrap the pulley much more. Just wondering if it is caused by using an aluminium pulley? Would I better off with a steel one? Any tips on getting the squealing to stop or any other reasons that could be causing it?

Hi Chris, I take it that the squealing is just related to the supercharger pulley?
It does look like it's wrapped around enough of the pulley. Can you tension the belt further or do you feel it should be tight enough? Any contamination of belt or pulleys causing slip?

So I’ve roughed up the belt and SC pulley and tightened the belt as much as I dare and it’s a bit better but still far from where it needs to be, below are links to 2 videos 1showing the SC noise at idle the other the squealing, I’m not sure if the “as new” SC is as good as it should be, also the body of the SC is getting up to 100 C

That sounds distinctly like a lobe is touching the bore! Pull the lobe and look for scoring.

The problem i think is one of 2 things or both the gearing of the supercharger is incorrect causing to much pressure resulting in requiring a high torque to turn the supercharger this causes belt slippage . It looks like from the video that you are creating boost pressure at low engine rpm the pipes seem to be expanding at very low rpm . Once again this gives the same effect as incorrect gearing. hard to describe what is what without an installation drawing of what you have done or seeing the car in the flesh . I've been off air for a while, working on a possible fix, apologies.

The SC is running a 65mm pulley on a standard zebec BT crank. I'm copying a known good set up, so I'm happy I'm not trying to over run the charger.
In the video I've only got a single throttle body (TB) infront of the plenum. I've added a second in front of the SC and in doing so discovered that the vacuum hose for the blow off valve was missing!

Currently the car sounds like a tank but doesn't squeal quite as much. I'll update once I've had some time to try and fettle and many thanks for the offers of help, I'll be picking up the phone if I don't make any progress

The blow off opens between the outlet and inlet of the SC when the SC outlet create a vacuum (I think!)
