that was how my old set up used to be, without LP filter 2 and HP filter 1

you only really need one filter but I felt better with two - I guess the LP filter may be dependant on whereabouts your lift pump is and whether gravity is enough to get fuel through that first one

LP2 is unnecessary IMO.
Possibly even HP1.

Both my cars have essentially the same setup as that (no LP2)...
- the zetec car does not have a specific HP1 filter but the swirl pot does contain a filter so that does protect fuel going to HP pump.
- the 'busa has no LP2 or HP1.

BTW - fuel pressure regulator is usually at the end (exit) of fuel rail, not at the beginning.

yes - that's how my S2000 was plumbed

my Busa only has one HP filter after the pump, I don't have a swirl as I have a sump in my tank but I don't have any protection before the pump (Ive bought a filter but not got round to fitting it yet)

Yes, I think so Chris.
That's a filter prior to the fuel pumps, and then a secondary filter prior to the fuel rail. Sounds alright to me.

As per your diagram, the fuel return should feed back in to the swirl pot (rather than straight to the fuel tank) so as to maintain pressure in the system and to prevent the HP pump from pumping the swirl pot dry.

As I understand it, there's a filter before the first pump to protect it from tank crud & there's a filter before the fuel rail to protect it from bits of pump spat out in a catastrophic failure. :D

Agreed 100% to protect the injection and ultimately the engine. I always fit two unless using donor tank and then I fit one shortly after feed

Started work on the SC inlet manifold, I this one uses 3mm ali but I think I’ll switch to 5mm for the rest of the base plates. Currently using 2mm tube but will up to 3mm for the pressured tubes
