^^ Absolutely!^^

On the exhaust side of mine, the header never quite sealed on No. 2 with the Ford stainless sheet gasket, but "Gaskets for Classics" (on Ebay) now do the old-school laminated gaskets for Zetecs that have a little more "give" & that's sealed it, so if your plate has warped a little, they might have something to cope with non-modern ford levels of flatness.

Keep going I'm keen to see this running :D

@Tony - Your advice is most welcome, I was not offended at all so no apology needed, just thought I'd explain why I'd done it that way. I really don't know what I'm doing so everything is a bit trial an error but that said I made some engine mounts about 4 years ago that have survived without cracking , and I am getting penetration but I seem to never be able to get the wire speed right. If you lived a bit closer I'd invite you round for tea, biscuits and welding practice :-)

Latest instalment:
Lambda sensor boss wedled in, seems my welding is even dodgier in stainless steel!
Working on positioning the plenum and, I have a Mondeo 2000 plenum (which fits the 2002 engine) and a Mondeo 2001 fuel rail which doesn’t line up with the injector ports??? Any ideas?

It’s the cylinder head temp sender you can take it out if you don’t need it it doesn’t go into the water ways just into a blank hole it measures the temp of the head not the water

Pretty sure that's wired to my ECU - guess it doesn't matter, but might explain why the switch in the rad that turns the fan on before the ECU triggers it.

Thanks chaps, I'll put it back if there's room, but at the moment I'm eyeing up some of the triangulation with an angry grinder :o :o :o
