Recovered sufficiently from a 24 hour stint of on call and a mahoosive headache, to spend a few hours this afternoon on the oil pump, checking timing marks, final fitting of front cover, trigger wheel and sensor. Air gap is consistent and trigger wheel seems to run true which is good. Current one ran out of true and wore through the sensor a few times until I revved the engine to 4000rpm and set the black and decker on it..
Thank you Dick for the equipment to sort the timing marks. My original “guesstimate” was about a degree out

Gasket making tonight.. Island 4x4 who are local to me and sell V8 parts, have gone mail order only.. Didn’t fancy spending less than a pound on a gasket and a tenner on postage.

Off to do a photo shoot with the Aylesford Bulls 1st XV, working out at the gym.. a bit nervous tbh, hoping I get at least a few reasonable shots.

Fairly sweaty though K. welcome back btw, looks like a fantastic place to visit and a great time was had.
Three from earlier this evening, not having much luck with light, the walls were painted black
