Back on the road :)

Postby youngsterS3 » Tue Apr 13, 2010 7:24 am

Well, after my off and having my poor 4yrs worth of build written off I am back on the road :)

I have got myself an already built Quantum Xtreme.

From the small amount I have driven it, It is a far better car than the old Robin Hood new Series 3. It is still a monocoque design, but has Quantum designed suspesnsion all the way round, no siera rear end.

It needs a bit of tweaking and I think the engine from my hood will be transplanted as I think it is is in better nick, but one of the reasons for going for something that is the same setup, ie Pinto power, type 9, sierra rear diff.

The headlights on this new thing are pretty much production car quality too!

A few essential tweaks are needed before a run out tho, the speedo cable is broken, I need to move the accelerator pedal back, they are all way forward at present and the engine needs a good service.

Thanks again to Dan for his help at the time of my incident and for keeping an eye out for cars and part builts that may suit me and to Mark for keeping in touch and taking an interest in what has been going on.

Very nice, every cloud has a silver lining and all that. Get out and get driving.

Well done Chris. That's the way to do it. Mark said you'd bought an Extreme when I spoke to him yesterday. I will be very interested to see it and find out how it performs.

Again well done sir.
