i know the guys at powerspeed, did they make your silencer? if so i doubt it is 111db!! the standard caterham race system on my 7 is only 105 db!!!

I had Dave make me a new silencer for the 7 and it was tested at 91db!

I can believ it's 111dB that's crazy. I'd suggest their meter maybe out, etc. Worth checking first.

Just had a quick google. Lotus elise with no exhaust rev'd to 7k is recorded at 111dB. I've heard your exhaust ...... No chance it was that loud !

I have an R1 can lurking in the shed. Failing that you could always borrow mine. 99db at Brands with a repack. It comes off with three bolts so it's not a big job.

blimey 111db thats a tad loud, my old one pre-powerspeed was 105/106 and it felt like the ground was shaking. Surely 'borrowing' one is the way forward? You can always do the right thing afterwards?

BTW Its a Fireblade silencer on mine currently. I spoke to the Powerspeed people today about making me one.
