Richard, I haven't got a clue what they did tbh, it took just over 2 weeks but I wasn't in any rush for them really, cost   £700  but they are done and I have 1/2 a litre left in a tin.
Would like to talk to you at some stage about wrap you had done on your rear wings, can you remember the cost of having them done. I know where they are at the top of masons hill Bromley.

To do my rear wings cost approx £100 total but they had to be fitted to the car as they said they have to pull and tug on them a lot that I can appreciate having tried myself. Not sure if you have a P seal between the wing and body like mine does but that would make it harder for them to do a great job so fully fitted my wings without the P seal or the lights and had it transported it there, then took back off once home and fitted P seals and lights.
Suggest you give them a call and ask who the guys who organise the wraps in the garage is then arrange to take the loose wing for him to look at and cost up.

They will look much more modern and hopefully brighter for anyone behind.

I think a lot of people have realise quite how poor some of the older lighting is. My upgrade was light and day apart with the old to new Westfield lights. Following @kenton used to be tricky for the same reason.

Will be interesting to see how you get on.

Got to love the groovy carpet. Needs a hoover though!

Never herd of my carpet being groovy   but it does need a hoover ;)

Some wiring was done yesterday and Ross came up with a good idea.
Now I know we don't take our wings off very often if at all, but this is the 3rd time for me so I needed a better way of separating the wiring loom to the lights instead cutting the wires each time. So we have 3 lights per side each with 2 wires, one earth and one live. All the earths together leaves 3 wires.

So basically a plug system unplug and remove wing.

Hope it makes sense

Yep I ended up fitting waterproof plugs to all of the front end of my old car. Defo the way to go. As the FW bonnet was better off the car when eg replacing the radiator which I did 3 times in the end. Plug on the rad fan was also a good idea for me as it turned out!

So a quick update with the rear lights.

After fitting the pods first to the rear wings (you can see them in the first video) I wanted to use the pods so I didn't make more holes in the wings them selves.
A quick video showing the lights

I am happy with the end result, they are defiantly brighter than the old ones. I had to use a different relay, again that was in the first video.
Next to do is the under bonnet wrap.

So plan 2 was to make sure the bonnet doesn't get affected by the heat from the new Exhaust manifold. After my visit to Simpsons exhausts the guy there recommended me to protected the bonnet just in case, that was also backed up by a message form Dick at Snodhurst who said the same.

Although to me there seems plenty of space for the air to run over the pipes but they are the experts and for the cost it was worth doing.
I marked out the area plus some that covers the manifold easily.

You can see the faint black mark of the area i wanted to cover.
I bought some of this plus the glue to go with it.

So after cutting the matting to size, they said coat the matting first with the glue and let it go off so its just sticky, then coat both surfaces and put together.

Well we will see if it works.
Now to plan 3
