Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping safe and sound and you haven't got to the drinking stage yet to cure your boredom
Can anyone help identify my axle please ? Its off and early Cortina and I think its a Koln axle after searching for ages. I need to replace the rear wheel bearing, the bearing should have a seal going round the outer edge to seal it in place around the axle casing. I got the one I thought it should be but its to small diameter wise, ive taken the shaft out and now measured it and its around the 67mm the old one that is.
First of all i need to identify what I have so your help would be most appreciated.
The bearing need to be something like this, you can see the seal around the out casing.
This one is to small.
Many thanks guys.

Re: What Axle Have I got ?
Hi Colin, I still have Haynes manuals for mk 3 and 4 cortina and recall some info.
There are two types of what they describe as the Salisbury axle and the flange pic you showed would suggest it is a type A but could not see the side profile to confirm if there is a raised lip between casing and rear section
Couple of pics for reference is it is this and the one you think.
