My daughter is getting married on 20th June, so that's a non-starter!

Kitfest Santa Pod Sat 20th June

did anyone go last year? It fell on Le Mans weekend so that was a no go for me, wondering whether its worth a trog up there, what its like compared to say Stoneleigh etc? Much happening or mainly static?

I wanted to go but clashed with wings and wheels which we had already booked
It’s more then just a show, You get to race each other down the strip

I gather the strip Q was rather large and massive waiting times.

Yes I heard you got a couple maybe 3 runs in if you were lucky. I think it’s £25-30 so it was getting on for £10 a run.

Excellent thread idea Mark.

Same as Steve so far CKC track days, Lions Tour as a good one to do with the Mrs or a mate, Stoneleigh. But more to follow.

There’s a new National Kit Car Festival 25-26 July in Nottinghamshire. It’s from the organisers of Stoneleigh.

I wish them every success but I’m not sure of the logic of having 2 shows, 2 months apart with the same format and both in the Midlands.

I might be doing them a disservice but I doubt people are going to gear up and go to both if they have to travel far. So will Stoneleigh flop because Nottinghamshire will be popular because it’s new or will stoneleigh carry on being THE kit car show and the new one not have legs? I think they should have plumbed for something either further north or south?

Anyway, irrespective of what you’re all doing, have fun and stay safe.

My brother keeps mentioning the Whitby for fish and chips run that was mentioned a couple of years ago

Yes that clashed with something else I believe but I would be up for that, date dependant of course.
As for me this year, depends on how many trips I have to make to Bexhill to help my son in his flat, as all the fathers out there will probably know !!
Mirror, Signal go faster pedal !!
