I have now started on my winter work in the car. The roll bar is off to be rechromed and I have now started to strip out the interior to redo it all as the leather covering is all coming off and tatty.

Re: Winter project
A bit more stripped out and the new gearbox mount is in but I’m not happy with one of the engine mounts so I think I’ll make a new one to square the engine up a bit in the hole

Re: Winter project
Where do you get the drive to do all this work Matt ? My car has been up in the air for 3 months now so I can rub down the chassis and treat it and I've done nothing ? always find an excuse for not going out in the garage crazy.

Re: Winter project
Matt, I'm impressed with your determination in this weather, can't be too warm in the garage? Also pleased to see that a large hammer features in one of the pics, always handy for those difficult to remove parts

The engine looked like it was really leaning so I thought I’d try and get the chassis sitting level to give me a starting point. I have now made a new engine mount which makes it sit much better ( I did have some packing pieces in it previously so now I can do away with them)

OMG I haven't even started yet! I've planned and re-planned the radiator upgrade many times but have yet to get the spanners out... need to learn to stick weld first!
