I'm happy to do a few if the final effort turns out OK. My best mate is all over this 3D printing business so I'll get some tips from him first!

I believe that to be true David :D

Right gents. Thinking bracketry/fixings.

Of those of you that use radios how/where do you currently fix your radios?

And Kenton can you send me the diameter of your roll cage and a rough idea of the gap from the windscreen at the top and/or side where you mount it ie is it almost touching or 5mm, 10mm off? I was thinking about a clamp that holds the cradle to the cage but I'm not sure about clearances. ALso it can be made to rotate through 90 degrees ie take 4 bolds out, rotate the curved "back" that goes around the cage 90 deg and put the bolts back in. So it can fit to the cage at the top or the side if that makes sense.

Tony B - roll cage diameter if different to Kenton

Thanks Chris

Radio fits into a camera case hanging from a dash fixing screw

the main roll bar is still 38mm, but because im slicker and faster than K the actual cage is 32mm........

like Ks, mines in a camera case but on the fixed on the tunnel on the passenger side, i want to move it to the dash where i can swap between radio etc whilst driving a bit easier

Thanks gentlemen. Dash mounting actually makes life easier. I finalised my design in theory at god knows what time this morning. I just need to re-take the measurements of the radio and go from there.

In practice I only ever change the FM frequency and the volume. The only other "on the fly" adjustment would be switching between channels 7 & 1 using the single button but very rarely. What else would you do/need access to as we've got external PTT buttons etc?
