my entire chassis on my first car with that Garage door enamel paint, gave a lovely finish but was prone to chipping. Then i started using that epoxy paint with my spray gun you have, I did the roll hoops, engine bay and wishbones - the first attempt i didn't add enough thinners and it gave a noticeable orange peel effect as it glooped out the gun rather than sprayed but the 2nd attempt was perfect i thought - and lasted really well, very hard paint once dry!
after that i only used it in an air brush gun for touching up but that really neeed thinning a lot!
either my gun, or if youve bought the right one from Rustbusters will do a very good job, you just need to add the thinners slowly until you get the right mixture that will spray - and youll need a sheet on the floor otherwise the overspray will get it!
one other tip, try and make the compressed air as dry as possible, if you cant add in extra drain pipes (up and down sections along the garage wall) then use a filter......
