UN1 Gearbox

Postby SpyderMan » Fri Apr 26, 2019 5:47 pm

Hi all.
Not posted for a while as been busy with work. Now started to strip the Spyder ready for rebuild and remodel. Body is off, interior stripped etc etc. About to remove engine and gearbox and this leads to my question. Does anyone know of anywhere in the SE that would be able to do some work on my Renault UN1 gearbox? It has a leak so needs splitting and prob a new gasket, plus a general overhaul. TIA

Hi mate

PT Sports Cars have a tenant who is a gearbox specialist. He rebuilds the race car gearboxes for PT and has offered to work on the Westfield’s Hewland box. I have not taken him up on it as I don’t have any spare money  it would be worth having a chat at the very least.

PT Sports Cars number is 01753 856064

This chap sorted my gearbox out for not too many £££. Proper engineering in a (big) shed

Thanks for the replies. Will check them out and see what either can do for me.
