It's a long shot I know!
Anyone got a CAN-based MBE ecu and have access to these to connect the ECU to a computer...
My 'busa is running an MBE ecu and it's running really rich... also stalling at idle and hard to start sometimes. I want to know what sensor data the ECU is seeing - something is really not right!
Problem is the ECU outputs CAN data and I need a box of tricks to convert the CAN data to USB format and then looks like I need another lead to connect the converter box to the ECU wiring harness!
£150 worth of kit from SBD just to be able to interface the ECU with a laptop.
If I can't borrow the kit I'm going to have to take it somewhere I think.
Anyone got an MBE ecu CAN>USB interface kit?

Does it have the usual obd plug on the ecu as that's what the one pic looks like, if so would my snap on scanner be able to read the sensors?

My Caterham has an MBE ecu (locked, so I haven't bothered getting the cable ) there is an obd port, but Steve is correct you need the expensive cable to connect to a pc and the correct software .

Re: Anyone got an MBE ecu CAN>USB interface kit?
Thanks guys, but I think I need the MBE specific kit (it's called an MBE 985).
My ECU/car doesn't have an OBD port. It has a 4-pin connector port from the ECU, which I understand must then be connected to that the cable in the pic with the OBD-type connector at the other end. This then plugs in to the CAN>USB converter box (MBE 985) and finally a USB cable connects from that to a computer.

I have an OBD to usb lead, that I plug my mondeo into with a laptop, I could post the lead to you, to try ?
But you will still need the software on the laptop, I don't think mine would work with your ecu
