Small jump packs, do they really work .

Sure being into cars I am sure you would seen the adverts in various Mags and shops for the dry type jump packs in favour of the older, bigger and heavier wet battery type.
Being one that struggles for space in my cars and fed up with the limited life of the old type I invested in two different makes and models a couple of years ago one via flea bay and one via a supplier to Dicks garage,
At first I was a bit unsure if they could really pack a punch, but having the one via Dick in the Honda permantky plugged in and on charge has been a life saver.
The Honda warning buzzer does not always work when I leave the lights on and once again last evening the unit saved me from rushing to find the kit car batteries and jump leads and an ear bashing from the other half being late to ferry her home from work.
On top of that it can also be slipped in your jacket pocket or bag and used as USB supply for everything now days, flash light or even to smack a mugger with if needed.
Think Jay uses one for the race car cameras as well, well worth the money for a decent one.
Mines a Hilka by the way.

I believe I have the same one as Rich, that model has been changed by Hilka - have put 2 links below to give you an idea.
There's a fair few of these type of things kicking around....

I have used mine regularly for the lawnmower as i can't be fussed to get a new battery for it, so every start in the past 18mths has been with my booster. But the Tiger has also been started by it a few times....when i;ve left the fan on after putting the car away to find it dead next time out.
Used it on the Rav as well when its battery died completely.

As you say Rich/Mark they are the nuts. Mine has got many a neighbour out of trouble in the mornings. Dads new one is rated upto a v10 deisel engine. As Rich said we used one to power all the cameras all day in the civic and a few meetings we fogot to turn it off through the day and still lasted. Highly recomended from this side

we have made a few similar packs at work(handy having this sorta stuff about and a few geeks about the place) with a lota classic bikes and cars in storage that need to be moved they are handy.but not at that money

JEEZ if this really works then its amazing! I work in Tech and (almost) everyday I'm amazed at whats coming to the consumer market place
