Re: MNR Vortex RT Hayabusa
Things were running well until we had a production hiccup which is why i havnt posted for a few weeks.
Before the chassis could go to the powder coaters MNR had to wait for almost 3 weeks to get the flatshifter expert kit before they could add the mounts in the correct place. This has made a big impact on the delivery date of the car which is suppose to be before 23rd march so i can sprint it at coombe on the 23rd.
Anyway weve been stockpiling parts and making billet bits ready for assembly when it returns tomrrow or saturday from the coaters.
Weve received the quaife ATB LSD, the AIM F3 wheel, wheels, tyres, double adjustable shocks seats, ecu, throttles, and a bunch of other things. Hes currently sourcing the GPS tracking system.
Marc is also currently coming up with an idea (on his CAD) to fit the rider 410 satnav to the dash using a cnc billet bracket. Because the steering wheel has all the ecu and dash instrument information on the built in screen we can add the satnav right above the wheel in the carbon dash. Ive always had issues with attaching the satnav in the correct location. The serious head on crash near miss i had in the Alps with that lorry happened because i looked away from the road to check my satnav which was in tye centre of dash face above the gear stick. This will hopefully resolve any issues.
So progress is slow and i am concerned it wont be done for coombe but i am not going to get them to rush as i want it built properly. Il just pull out of coombe if need be. No photos just yet but when we get it back from the coaters i will post up a few pics.
Cheers.
Ive requested an exact formal doc showing full spec of the engine from RLM. as all i have seen is general info so far. Will post that up when i get it.

Good stuff Lee!
Now is the fun part... seeing everything getting bolted on to the chassis and the car taking shape.
Keep the pics and updates coming!
