Well a few laps of the hood shows it is fit to get me to Bromley next week
It coughing on tick over so probably a bit lean now, still a little hesitant around 2000 that I hope will be down to some fine tuning but far better than when I first drove it 6 months ago.

So over past couple of days I have changed the shell passengers seat to my near perfect cobra roadster seat the same as the drivers seat, been a few years since I had a matching pair, this because the trimmer preferred them to be the same as the shell one was taller.
Also changed the fittings on the aero to three self contained screws pointing upwards with three nuts vice 8 holding the aero on so the trimmer could see where the aero sat to work out his pattern but then only had to remove the nuts from above and lift it off doing away with the need to scrabble under the dash at all, so they can drill and fit the fixing onto of the scuttle.
All set for Tuesday, save for a phone call today to inform me he could not get the mohair till following week, so now booked in for 28th and I now have to decide if I want to take the Locost for ma and pa to see for the first time on my long weekend trip to Kings lynn.
That would make a good shakedown and leave me enough time to push it home before the trimmers.

Take the car Richard, as you say it will be a good shake down for it.

Nice early start to take partner to work, then home to switch cars and fill up so left area about 6am to hit pretty empty roads via the M11, A14 and A10 .
Car still has issues at low revs that further tuning may sort out, really nice to get back into it, with the lack of a screen it’s pretty full on.
Had to stop before I got there so using more fuel than the pinto used to but no other issues to speak of.
No room left for any stuff or tools so some relaxing days with parents

The car looks great, once you have the weather gear and the niggles sorted, hopefully you'll be set for plenty of miles this summer 8-)

Me dad took the bottom pic on Eleanor’s first trip to Kings lynn in 2008 and then updated ones today.
