Yes I was shocked at the beggars, what’s the deal with the bare feet? Me and my pal figured they were scammers when we first saw him - the one looking like he was praying. We did a bit of a tour of the area trying to find a greasy spoon and saw the “praying man” all over the place.

I find latex gloves last about a minute before ripping, so don't bother unless using resin or Tigerseal!

Keep up the good work Richard :)

Re Latex gloves, i think it's a case of you pay for what you get. i've bought some of these and they rarely rip:

In king's Lynn for the rest of the week for some R and R and to visit parents and sister.
Could not resist bringing a bit of Eleanor with me.
Under strict instructions not to do any sanding in dad's garage and weather is shocking today so restricted to putting some filler in the bonnet and starting repair on the driver's side of the rear panel.

Resin and a few layers of mating laid out to stabilise the area

Will do the same on the inside eventually

Dremel used to grind out the crack from the outside, half way through.can see where I had to make the complete top section originally

How do you get away for a few days, and take bits of your car with you ??

I do wear the trousers in my marriage, but would never get away with that!
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

Simples, my partner does not come to my parents with me and father is a petrol head/tinkier so likes to get involved.

Another crappy weather day, so a little more time spent in the garage to trim back the inside, then apply resin and fibre glass mesh to the inside and a while later a little bit of trimming.
Lot more stable now.

Back home and about time I started on the panel that covers the sus and steering components on the driver's side.
First off amazing news the cardboard template I made for the others side fits this side, good job as I spent hrs and three attempts getting those sus brackets in the right place when replacing the front of the chassis.
Using the template and the actual panel from the other side I marked and cut out another piece of Ali.
Thought I would try a couple of different techniques to cut the holes out to show those that are still interested or novice to this type of thing.
One is chain drilling inside the actual line I was working to, then using a round niddle file to join holes together to remove the piece then a grinding bit in drill (not the right type I know) then a half round file to get it near.

Niddle file used to remove the rest closer to the finish line and will be finished by draw filling and wet and dry.

Bit to remove the majority of the waste once the middle was removed.

Second technique was to try out one of the first tools I ever bought myself.
After a centre hole is drilled the hand cutter is quite hard work and workpiece Def needs to be in a vice so you can really push the bit in and get the curve working.
The left edge still needs work with the needle file.
