No problem Colin, If and it is a big If a prop shaft breaks and flails around due to the narrow tunnels and the fact they usually house fuel, brake pipes and electrics it makes a mess, therefore it is a plate to hold the shaft away from them in the event of a failure.
Mine is a pieces of 3mm that bolts to a front bit of box before the tunnel top goes on. Ideally I would have one at the back of the tunnel in case prop goes there but not enough room.

Many of you may have beat me to this already but I bought one of those headlight refurbished kit for when the lenses go milky to use on the Honda CRV I got a few weeks ago, not got round to it yet as working on Eleanor when ever I can.
On the list of things left on the kit car is to clean the headlight as the passengers side seemed to have a smudged area on the glass of the LED which has not moved under previous cleaning attempts.
The kit contains a Velcro base that you attach firstly various grades of wet and dry to cut the damage out, then change for a polishing sponge with compound and finally a coating to protect the new surface, with cleaning between each process, the base being able to be held in a drill or by hand.
I used the battery drill and not done the final coating as suggest you need to leave the car in the sun light, so let’s see what the weather brings tomorrow.
Took a few pics of the process for those who have not done before
It certainly feel smoother and a bit clearer as is designed for plastic and not this glass lense so probably needs a harsher wet and dry and polishing grits, but happy so far.

Very hard to get the words to correlate with the pics but following either tells a story.
Few pics of others people cars as well.

That looks like a great recovery of your headlights, well done and a good idea for everyone else with old worn headlights.

Big thanks once again to Matt for coming over to mine today to cast another eye over the engine issues, with a couple of hrs twiddling of screws and clicking on the ECU software it seems to be running better but still in need of work and I have a bit of research to do the TB adjustment

Been in touch with Mtech who are the sister company of ME motorsport who supplied the ECU, who do the RR stuff, got it booked in for late Jan.
Their near bath so probably drop it off on the Saturday before.
Will concentrate on little else I can do on the car, maybe flat a polish the spare bonnet.
Suppose I could sort out a geo session if allowed beforehand

Point taken but I wanted to get my name down as places go quickly, got a spot for a geo set up in partridge green where I went a few years ago before the ECU gets sorted, now need to spend Xmas doing a couple of things on Eleanor and getting a few things done on the new tin top to tow it with.
