Looks good, what’s your thinking if it rains? I’ve always tried to keep the radio under the dash to keep it dry
Yes I've been drinking, what of it!!

Nothing yet Chris, mines been in a number of “5 minutes storms” and survived so far.
Just been sat here playing with me helmet ! as I going to have to get used to wearing a full face with an aero and have a flip front one with the radio plug in speakers pieces stuck inside the padding area and struggling to get comfortable even with a thin snood on, must have one ear bigger than the other.

I tried using the ‘stick’ speakers but they weren’t loud enough. Currently the best option I’ve found is replacing them with earbuds but they are normally trashed after a week on the road

I appreciate its not for everyone but try it with no helmet ? you will be surprised at just how comfy it is, also the wind will wipe over the screen and over you head. Of course there is always the safety thing and i can understand that, but touch wood ive had no issues with safety at all, even when it has rained okay it hurts a bit but you don't drive as quick when its raining. This will also sort your issue out with the radio as you will wear your head phones.

Fair point Colin, was actually looking forward to use a helmet as my headset arrangement I have tried to use appear to be affected a lot by the wind and having a Mike inside the helmet must surely help.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
After having a nightmare of a time on the CRV yesterday where a moderate job turned into a take part of the suspension out, I decided to have an easier day today and made a screw in blank piece to go over the original slots that were for the heater controls. I hope to use the blank piece to attach the sat nav or phone so after fixing some riv nuts to the dash so I can easily remove and modify the plate I now have the plate drying in satin pack before a possible lacquer to make it smooth so suction mounts will hold.
I have also fitted the neoprene washers on the aero screen fixings screws and got that fixed down permanently.
Spent last hr or so working where to mount an alarm and what wires to tap into.

Re: Locost ''Eleanor'' Rebuild
Whilst I await parts to do work on my new daily driver to be and the chance to take the kit car for geo and RR sessions I am looking to sort out a few remaining jobs.
So decided to start flatting back and polishing the spare bonnet and to turn it into a series of 3 videos if anyone’s feeling bored.
I completed the section I wanted to show you today but too big for one video, so here is the first.
