So i’m trying under the difference between the two - does your one do 0-60 timer, 60-0 timer, 0-1/4 mile timer? i.e. £20 extra for 7859 only buys you the extra lap timer?

What’s the backlight like? I was slightly concerned it might be a little blinding 8-)

To be honest it sounds like you know more than me mate, havent bought if for timers like 0-60 or laps and if it turns out that it does do that then brilliant! :-)

Too embroiled in function and IVA prep at the mo to get involved in the Gucci stuff

I've had the 7659 since 2011. It does 0-60, 1/4 mile etc. Timing transponder is extra for laps and I don't have this.

The back light is not too bright, but then mine is in centre of dash not dead ahead. Been very pleased with the unit (was only £150 at the time including sensors). I did add a second temp sensor for oil, but for me, the one thing missing is oil pressure. If it had that it would be perfect for this price segment.

Fair point! I haven’t heard someone use “Gucci” in ages :D

Yea, noticed that on the spec sheet. Did you add an additional oil pressure gauge?

I'll be adding a separate OP gauge later for sure

Over a week now since submitting my IVA application and heard zero from them? Can you call them to chase, anyone know what number if so?

Cheers

I wouldnt panic for a few more days . The Westfield lot are getting their calls within a couple of weeks. Dates arent that far away after, usually 3 to 4 weeks. Its a quiet time of year at the centres , so shouldnt take long. My IVA date was 3 weeks after the call.

Got the Acewell temp sensor fitted with a junction I bought on the Bay, also bought a load of copper washers to seal the sensor...

Wish I'd sussed I'd need to do this before having the coolant all sorted and bled but hey ho...

A call to DVSA tomorrow to pay my IVA fees and it could actually be a March IVA which would be awesome as it will be just short of a year since I picked up the kit!....

PS. Ignore current Lambda wiring, Im not finished :-)
