I'll take a look. I'm hopefully going to get it over to Dicks for him to take a look over it and see what can be done.

I'm not far from Guildford either so if I can't get to the bottom of it your help would be very much appreciated.

I'm sure Dick & the crew will sort it, but you're welcome to use the balancer any time

Done a little investigation into this. New fuel has certainly helped however I still have the odd moment when the engine is warm and on a long run.

It does struggle to start after stopping when warm.

Doing a quick search and it appears these engine have hot start issues. What's the best way of dealing with this? People suggested a fuel regulator if so how does that help??

the only way is to retard the ignition, but then power will go down

ive lived with the problem for 17 years, it doesn't phase me to much, hence having the tick over set up around 1100 rpm
having a decent electronic ignition helps, and I run Accuspark distributor and coil

not cutting out, as the tickover is higher
but if its a hot restart within 15 mins of being hot, it can be quite an effort to get it going again

Having said that, i changed the plugs and leads last year, and it seems to be marginly better
