Well it been a while since I updated this thread and as always not been out anywhere enough in the RH due to welding up more rusty transits. So apart from the odd Sunday breckie run the first and longest time with the car was this years tour of the Yorkshire moors with the rouge runners that was a bit eventful but completed in one piece ( with a longer to do list ), that was followed the following weekend by a weekend trip to the Malvern kit car show so once back I decided to have a go investigating the long standing and elusive squeaking rear suspension.
So over the past few evening I have removed both the rear shocks so I can lift the rear swing arms to try and recreate the noise to a small effect. Swing arm bushes sprayed in half a can of WD40 as a short term measure in favour of some duck oil to follow, this had similar effect but still not found the elusive noise. So I decided to strip down and inspect the bushes and brackets of the Gaz coil overs.
Still no definite cause as yet but I have inserted some plastic washers and coated everything in white marine grease, weld repaired and painted the bottom bracket and just managed to reinstall the drivers side till time allows the other to receive the same

Well after reassembling the brackets on the shocks with more plastic washer / spacers with loads of marine grease and the coil overs set as they were, refitted and another half a can of duck oil emptied on the 4 swing arm bushes I could just about see I decided rather than let it sit for at least another week I wanted to test for squeaks before anything had a chance to dry out. So up and down the local back streets attached to mine but avoiding the Khan tax main road (Ukez zone ) lucky for me the place is riddled with speed humps so 20 mins later all was still silent so well pleased at this point and excited to see if it persists.
