Managed to try a few new toys during today 2 hr sparkless cleaning of the tank, (got to say when it got a good bite that expiry stuff sure does stick).
A mini belt sander and an air operated mini sander that takes the Velcro disc types, both purchased from the NEC chassis car auto jumble.
Both good bits of kit, the belt sander better for the paint removal, I hope to spend a few days attacking the fibreglass body panel repairs over Xmas the the mini sander should come into it own.

Maybe ask Santa to borrow an Elf or two from his work force. I recon there will be a few idol hands with some spare hours come December 26th! :D

Well done though Rich. Your progress is evident even to those of us who have only attempted smaller jobs on our cars. So good luck with “the list” and moving forward to completion in 2019.

Sounds like we need a good old fashioned SKCC Sunday run ending at your place for a few hours “all hands on deck” session?
