Good to get out this morning although I really could do with some heated insoles... feet felt like blocks of ice!
Talking of ice... plenty of that about this morning!
My first run out in the new yellow motor. Now a paid up member of the BEC crew
Good to see SteveM and Duncan at the cafe. Good cafe I thought
... £5.95 for a full English and £1.90 for a coffee. Very good breakfast IMO and great location by a lake.
Thanks for organising G.

Re: sunday 25th
Good to catch up over breakfast, sorry I didn't join the run.
Nice looking cars in the club, and looked surprisingly clean.
The breakfast was OK, but not much choice and coffee was extra although better than some places. The lake was nice, with the wild birds scared off by radio control boats when we left.

Ruddy cold as others have said so the DIY heated jacket got its first proper try out along with the heated gloves I was so toasty I had to turn them down eventually.
Car went so so. Still needs a RR session me thinks. Nice mix of road and the ice shower created by my short arches was nice. Venue is good will be even better on a summers day so we can sit outside by the lake.
Thanks for sorting out Graham, set me up great for the week ahead.
Rich.

Re: sunday 25th
Late response I know but thanks to G for organising again. A tad fresh at 05:50 when I set off and the closed petrol station near Newlands meant a quick cross country dash to another one and then on to get to the meet just in time.
Some really good roads in there and I had great fun although the ice which on occasion was right across the road kept me honest. Like G the car was slightly tale happy. Wasn’t brave enough to really press on but it was lovely in the sun, so much so the roof came off (see pic)!!
Great company over breakfast. Good to try a different location however was not keen on the idea of paying for parking, that said we didn’t.
