Photos attached as it really did happen and the new steed was well and truly christened in true SKCC style, covered in the proverbial by the time we got back home. My trip was much less eventful than Mike’s and glad that you, Linda and the car are all ok. Scary things deer as they are totally unpredictable and they can cause catastrophic damage but I will bring my filleting knife next we are out with you Mike as I am partial to a bit of venison. Still getting the feel of the new car and with Mike being kind Jill and I spent the run getting covered in crap thrown up by Mikes lovely wide tyres! Breakfast at the1066 cafe was great and filling. Mike tried to get me to buy a Scottish castle and I was worried when Jill started saying that was nice and looking at the photos kindly provided by Mike. Bit late in day Mike, 20 years ago we might have thought seriously about it. Whilst Mike and I chatted about all matters, the ladies seem to be deeply engaged in matters medical. On leaving Mike managed a great car park donut much to the amusement of the car wash boys.

Finally, Jill answered a question that I have been struggling with - why is a Seven type different from the GTM? Jill’s answer “ the GTM was a drive and this is a ride so more thrills per mile” cannot but agree so great to be back.

Sit rep, best case scenario.. Snapped the headlight bracket clean in half so repair headlight bracket with new metal and some pigeon poo welds. New Headlight Bowl old one mangled. Ordered from kit car direct. Carbon cycle wing shattered but still in one piece, can leave for now. 30 day order time as made to order. Geo check and straighten steering wheel at some point, not urgent, car tracking ok. No chassis damage thankfully.

Swmbo cool about it, hasn’t put her off, was enjoying the day until that point.

Good work Mike, Linda must be really cracking on with the housework and ironing if you got out to do some damage control work. Main thing is both of you Ok and you really must stop singing Doh a deer when driving.
