Sunday 11th February East Side

Postby b33fy » Fri Feb 09, 2018 7:15 pm

Saturday looks a washout, so going for Sunday, plan a) is to leave it vague and will plan something dependent on interest. Plan b) will be gourmet brunch at the 1066 and leave a few donuts.

What’s your thinking as we might be up for a run as long as not too early.

Let me know your ideas and we’ll see if we can make it happen

Totally flexible James, similar run as previous one from East Peckham? Bit of a loop for an hour around to 1066 or the American diner? Start time flexible, whatever suits.

Other option is direct route to the roedean from east Peckham/Tonbridge way via Wadhurst Mark Cross Blackboys, Lewes.

Mike,

How about meet at East Peckham and do the 1066 run. Around 8.15/8.30 would be good for us if that OK for you. Do you have an itn or is it the old freestyle method?

We’ll go freestyle James, see you at the turning for the co-op petrol station at East Peckham. 0830 :) I’ll see if I can drag swmbo out if Jill’s coming along.

Briefly, hit two deer after leaving the 1066 on the B2089 towards Rye. Fookers came out of nowhere, glanced off one, full strike on the second one. Thought it was coming over the top into the car. Car still drivable, Gashed the side of the deer, went back to look, it had scarpered. Some damage to car, at best headlight/bracket, cycle wing and geometry Will take a closer look once my a hole has settled down and my nerves are calmer  Other than that, great run with great company. Banter included weddings, stab vests, Lords and pikeys, pretty much all in the same sentence.

No pun intended  .. payback for all the ricer jokes

No worries Jay, we live to fight another day, battle cruiser should be fixable without too much grief. Full Credit to Chris, the cycle wing stays are still in one piece, usually someone sneezes round here and they break on these cars.

Need to get a roll cage fitted so I can strap the fooker to it next time and throw it in the freezer. :D

Joking aside, I really dont want to hit another one.

Lucky escape there Mike, glad you and the car are relatively unharmed.
