Talking to a "spotter" at work, I wish I'd have asked to look round the hangers, apparently they're very accommodating at Compton Abbas & have some interesting stuff hidden away in the sheds. There's a fuller write up on the blog. I came back through the New Forest & picked up a 5 ltr "tank" of rough cider (7 1/2% proof) and some marmalade for my wife. It's Tuesday, the cider's 1/2 gone.

You know where you're getting the cider T, your driving down the side of the pub looks a bit wobbly. That cider consumption you mentioned, when did it start? And you seemed to be suffering from rather a lot of wildlife as well! But all very entertaining, thanks for sharing, as they say.

And, @ Steve, having only seen your car completely black before, it took me a while to work out the one with the white stripes in the Euroblat photos was you. For what it's worth, I thought the asymmetrical look was pretty striking and very original.

colin,
left otford at 5.15 cos i wanted to do the pre blat blat from bbarn....i could have gone straight to the main meet point and would have left around 5.45. Got back around 3.30 after a nice cross country meander.......it was 108 miles from bbarn to compton in a pretty straight line.....so about 150 from home each way....

It is definitely a day trip rather than morning, but well worth it when you get a pass :D

Would have posted earlier in the week but I spend Sunday afternoon onwards with raging stomach cramps. Saw the out of hours doc late Sunday night.
Verdict IBS sort of thing or the onset of a stomach bug.
Was throwing up briefly Monday am. Wiped out Tuesday.
On the mend today.
Were those breakfast sausages that bad??
