Quick vs Slower member runs

Rather than splitting into fast and slow groups, how about just making sure at least three people know the route before setting off? One at the front (obviously!), one in the middle and one at the back to pick up anyone who has stopped/broken down/got stuck behind a caravan.

Well that was sort of the idea actually and it was going to be my job to look after the second half. Unfortunately SWMBO scuppered that one! Hopefully next time!
