Re: Quick vs Slower member runs
A run out is not about who's car is the farstest or who is the better driver its about enjoying your car, driving at your own pace and having a big fat breakfast while the wife and kids are still in bed
Re: Quick vs Slower member runs

Re: Quick vs Slower member runs
well said. I just want to get the thing out more and drive within mine and the car's capabilities in a safe fashion - not to be Jason B (altho' it'd be nice - have you seen his girlfriend?? ). That does mean I drive it quickly where safe to do so and sort of hope that's the same for most on here.

thx for clarifying, posts worthless without pics, especiallty when you mentioned 'jason b' - i was wondering who the heck 'jason' is! I guess it must be the charming smile and wit that won her over?

Even on his 2009 pay cut he was still rather comfy... looks like in many ways !

Mark/Dan, good points about feeling pressured to go quick. I've been on PH runs where I've felt I needed to go faster than I otherwise would have done (out of my comfort zone if you want) to keep up with those at the front of the group who knew the way; it is not a nice feeling and I promised myself that if that happens again, I won't be trying to keep up.

Re: Quick vs Slower member runs
I don't think anyone will drive quicker than they feel comfortable through any desire to show what they or their car is capable of - it's much more likely to be through fear of getting lost!
Rather than splitting into fast and slow groups, how about just making sure at least three people know the route before setting off? One at the front (obviously!), one in the middle and one at the back to pick up anyone who has stopped/broken down/got stuck behind a caravan.
I'm happy to jog along at the back of the pack with a copy of the route instructions for any of the runs I'm on.
