Thanks for organising Kenton, I enjoyed 80miles driving in a windy cloud

Very little traffic, some nice roads and some very bumpy. How the second group came to overtake the first, I will never know, but we got breakfast first 8-) . We also beat the Caterhams.....nice to see you James :)

I knew a chap called Nigel in the Caterham group, he said "your car must be a lot quicker than the others" I had to point out my car was the least powerful by far and Kenton has probably 200bhp more than me

Well done to Richard for helping Mark out, sorry we were oblivious until Matt looked at his phone at Hawkhurst.

First proper fry up for months, brilliant

Yes agree with Duncan, a great morning apart from the weather.
Thanks for the shout out Kenton.
Early start for me, not use to early starts, but had to be done and glad I did. It was nice to see so many out from SKCC A really good start that ended up wet and damp. Only 1/2 hour in and it felt like I went air born, hit a speed hump and took off, now my speedo doesn't work, a few back ends twitches from me (and that was just my backside) and then a nice 180 in a narrow single lane road, with Matt coming around a blind corner, lucky he saw me and I was in reverse trying to make room for him to stop, anyway a 20 point turn and we were back on our way, I took it easier from then on. Coming along the Rye road running next to the sea, the wind was making it a little tricky plus with the rain made for it to be a slow ride along the military road.
God knows how we got to the fishery's first but we did :D :D
Hope your cars not to bad Mark, it didn't look to bad but you want really know till you strip it down.
Anyway great morning out, till next week guys.

Thanks for organising the run this morning, it was great to get out even though it was a bit wet.
Down one small lane I came around the corner to find Colin had spun as he’d gone round it in front of me but luckily we all managed to stop in plenty of time so he could sort himself out.
I don’t know how we ended up in front but it meant we were just starting to eat as the slower group turned up
Sorry to see Mark had a problem but it didn’t look to bad and I hope to see you back out soon

Well that was fun this morning, woke up to drizzling rain and high winds and a text from K suggesting to cancel, but after taking the dogs for a walk and checking the forecast it all looked ok, anyway I was up now!!

To my amazement Colin had also sent a message saying he couldn’t wait to get going, been up since 4 - or something like that!!!

Anyway, I think this route is superb, fast roads and actually with the rain it certainly keeps you alert. Group B surely must have cheated, we stopped for the piss break near a waypoint and they didn’t come through, must have been the long wait they experienced last time made them want to get to the cafe ASAP

As Dunc said, great to sit down for a proper breakfast again!!

Till next time folks

Good to see you lot too. A more gentlemanly start at 8.30 but a good route and yes Rye was damp!!
