Nice little run out this morning, less traffic than I expected for a Saturday. Met a new guy (at least I think so as I've not seen him before but my long term memory is poor) in a white sleigh, didnt catch his name but i think it was Santa.
The bumble performed well (that's if your Miss Daisy).
The chalet was deserted, breakfast was quick as a result.
Thanks chaps, always good to be out

I enjoyed that, made a change to be out on a Saturday, got quite a few waves and some from Lycra clad crews, car performed well apart from a slip of the clutch but that was driver error, wrong gear and loads of torque, the miss daisy was me checking and double checking the vitals which all held nicely, 1 last chance of a test run then it’s alps fever, good to see russ aka Santa out in the sorted sleigh, he was always there so you must be happy with the performance russ ? cheers for sorting it tone and great to catch up with everyone, hopefully someone took some pics.

Yes, great to be out this morning- I’m not sure I can get out next weekend so I treated this as the pre Alps boat, although the first half was supporting miss daisy

Quite a good breakfast at the chalet, might have to go there again one day (G) ;)

Couldn’t get a pic at the start as not enough time was given before everyone was racing off

Here’s the Tony stop:

It was great to get out on a run again after the car being laid up for over a year! The new engine really likes to be given a spanking as all the power is from about 5500rpm all the way up to 8700rpm. What with the Saturday traffic it barely got to stretch it's legs for the most part but I’m happy with how it performed. All in all I’m just happy to have done a run without a hitch and it helps to get over that feeling that the car is about to completely fall to bits at any moment :)

Right, let’s do it again!
