It's ages since the eastern SKCC drivers met with those of you from the west, so we have proposed two runs that meet for breakfast at the Chalet Cafe which is south of Cowfold at approximately 9.30. Dates proposed are 11/8 or 25/8.
I will organise a run from the east, and I'm sure there will be a volunteer to do one starting west of the Chalet.
If you are interested, add your name below:
1. Duncan 11/8 and 25/8 OK
2. Martin 11/8 OK , 25/8?
3. Andy F 11/8 and 25/8 OK
4. Mike 25/8 only
5. Richard 11/8 and 25/8 OK
6.

Re: East meets West run August 2024
A good meet up this morning with Jason, me, Kenton, Tony B, Adam, Richard, Mark B and Matt (with Kev in the passenger seat and a pheasant in his front suspension ) meeting at Edenbridge. Graham B was there with two Lotus friends, so it was busy!

It was dry and bright, but a bit nippy as we started off. We encountered very little traffic on a 62 mile route to the Chalet taking in my favourite Ashdown forest roads along with the Plumpton Road up to Haywards Heath and over to Handcross. People seemed to like the new route I had devised, there are so many roads in the south east, we would never have to do the same route twice!
We had a stop mid way, then arrived at the Chalet early at 8.50, as there was little traffic and the weather was great the pace was brisk
As I left my car I met Russ arriving on his Ducati, great to see you. And during breakfast Steve B arrived on the bike he has restored. Around the time I said we would arrive, six Westfields arrived lead by Martin H and then Andy and Mike arrived too (unfortunately Mike's battery had failed on the way and Andy's axle failed on his Marlin recently too, but well done for joining us for a chat.
Here are lots of Kits and lots of owners:

Great to see you all, there's life in the club yet!
If you weren't there you missed out.
A great way to spend Sunday morning and good to see some old faces, thanks for coming everyone.

Yes, unfortunately weekends in September are extremely busy for me, but I'll be back on Sunday runs in October.

Well done Duncan on Organising
Nice Route
Shame I wasn’t driving my car
But it was nice taking the scenery in Matt’s MK
Thanks for the passenger ride
Great catch up
Then Matt and I had a another look over my tiger, which I couldn’t get to run last night
Done the usual checks had no spark, then it would try to fire
I’ve always had trouble with the ECU, The tolerance isn’t great, slightest voltage drop and it cuts out
I had already upgraded the battery but looks like might need replacing 2019
Also my low revs flat spot is back , anything below 3k and runs flat , over 3k and it wants to take off
So might need a bit of a tune
I’m sure we will work it out
Thanks for all your help today Matt
