Well it started off ok, 6 sessions of mixed formulas on the oval track
Mini Rods / Euro Rods / Lydden Rods / hotRods
Quite a lot of cars on track but good fun
Until I went out on the fourth session, might of hit the kerb to hard and popped the drive shaft again but this time no spares
So finished my day
I’ve got a new plan with Matt involves petrol and a match
No I think we’ve got to start at the sub frame then recheck all again
But hopefully it will be sorted before first race
As always great company and good Banta
Cheers Matt, Jason and Emma
Matt had his own troubles his passenger harness went through the side window

Sorry to hear about the driveshaft. I do think there is something bent at the front of your car. It might be a good idea to buy another Mini and swap your best parts over.

Kev has some video of him hitting the kerb and there was quite a lot of car jumping around so I wonder if the engine mounts are too soft allowing it to move excessively but we are going to drop the subframe and change it with another that I’ve got while also rechecking the wishbones and bushes.

My car was going well I found that the revs were slightly better on 15’s for pulling out of the corner but I had less grip, not sure if we was quite doing normal race pace but will try it out next meeting and make the comparison during a race.
I took Jason out for a few laps and I was having good fun toying with Chris in his eurorod (another of our little team that I’ve known for years) although I think I may have worried Jason a bit with how close I was getting with Chris’s car
I fitted a new window when I got back last night and just need to sort some tyres as I’ve got a few that are past their best now

Sounds like you both had fun. Sorry to here of your drive shaft issues again Kev,
Kev do know you are suppose to go round the curbs not over them
Hope you get the car sorted quickly.
Matt sounds like your car is pretty much sorted.

Yes my car is pretty good although I could possibly get a bit more out of it. I have got an engine I want to rebuild (new rings and shells)to see if I can get a bit more. We are not allowed to do any modifications so it will still be standard.
As for Kevs car we have a plan of what we are going to do ( change subframe, polybush wishbones and probably replace engine mounts) then we will have completely rebuilt the front end so if it still does it I don’t know where we will go from there
