Race day actually got cancelled
So Matt and I decided to do the track day
The gremlins are back in my car and the drive Shaft popped out again

Just after 1 1/2 laps of the circuit back on the side lines waiting to be recovered
Wasn’t anything we could do at the track
So Matt suggested put my seat in the passenger side and come out as a passenger
Great day even though I had car trouble cheers Matt
Had a visit from Dave and his son in his sweet Westfield
Forgot to take a pic

Well done Matt for keeping going and once again helping Kev.

Kev, your drive shaft issue, could it be a gearbox issue or maybe a wheel alignment or suspension set up issue ?
Am just wondering what has changed since the first issue, and what has stayed within the setup that could maybe causing the constant issue?

The tyre wall was the start of it when the mini snatched left and then I tapped the tyre wall
But no dents on the mini just tyre marks on the nsf bonnet and headlight didn’t even smash.
Then the car started a tyre wobble, so replaced track rod ends, wheel bearings, bottom ball joint, bottom arm rear bush. Changed the boot on the drivers side drive shaft as split
Wheel shake had gone but then pulled the first drive shaft out of its cup and got wedge which ripped a big hole in the side of the block and took the mounts with it.
Replaced the engine put a brand new drive shaft on it, done 1 1/2 laps going up the start straight to turn right and there was a clonk and lost power luckily I got it straight off the track
And that was me game over again !! 2nd drive shaft !!
We’ve since measured diagonals and it’s all square and also compared measurements with matts all looks ok
Fitted another new drive shaft next job is to see how much travel in the shock to how much the drive shaft comes out of the cup
Or a banger racer cheat is to put a spacer in, on the rear of the hub to push the drive shaft further into the cup

Well done Kev for explaining, it sounds like you've done everything possible so well done and hopefully you'll find the issue soon so that you can carry on playing for the whole race days.
Thankfully you've got an exact mini copy to check your car with too which at least has allowed you two to rule out some things so that you can concentrate on others.

So we may have found a bottom engine mount with a little bit of play in it, so I’ve ordered up a poly flex bush to replace the worn out engine mount.
I’m running out of things to replace so hopefully this will solve it
We done some more checks today measuring how much movement we get on the shock compared to how far the shaft comes out under compression
And we believe it will stay in
So roll on race day
Both our mini’s made the ad
For the 8th October

I hope you have fixed it.
It sounds like the hub has moved away from the gearbox, is there any chance the beam the suspension mounts to has moved in the accident?

Everything measures out, it doesn’t look like anything has moved, and it’s all square
so it’s a bit of a puzzle

Yeah thanks
I’m crossing everything
I’m just hoping for a finish
And not on the back of a recovery truck
