Duxford IWM 23rd April

There was some interest in a blatt to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford,

How about the 23rd April - that's the Sunday after Easter.

Duxford is a huge site based on the old Battle of Britain aerodrome, it's also an active airfield & home to a number of airworthy "warbirds". There's a huge amount to see & usually something going on in the restoration hangers where they take Spitfires & the like apart re-build them. Distance wise it's about 1 Hr 50 from Guildford / Newlands, going north, so the Men Of Kent can pass east of London, others to the west & collect for breakfast. I have a breakfast venue & route in mind, but only from googling, so if anyone has any suggestions, that would be marvellous .

IMPORTANT!

Chaps & chapess, I'm in the horns of a dali-lama.
I've heard from one of our number that he probably can't make the 23rd owing to something to do with pesky kids. It's none other than our esteemed leader Marky G, who was the first to sign up as he's always wanted to go to Duxford.

So, would it cause a great deal of pain if we move it back a week to the 30th April, or maybe two weeks to the 7th May?

The default option is still the 23rd, but it seems a shame for MG to miss out when he puts so much into the club.

@ Tony ( and the others of course ), kind of you to think of delaying. Would suggest that you boys do a hands up for the existing 23rd....and if there's enough interest then just go for it, i'll get my visit another time. Because as Neil pointed out the weeks immediately after are busy with 'other things' and before we know it it'll be Tour time....
if there isn't enough interest for the 23rd, then in reality it doesnt matter so much about delaying until later in the summer....
