Thanks graham for organising the wreath and sorting the donations.
I had a good run out this morning to meet up with you all at breakfast and yes we cut the route short to the memorial but if we hadn't we'd of probably got there as it ended (dad was in driving miss daisy mode! )
I hope you didn't get too cold roughing it in my car Duncan I know your used to having luxuries like a screen and heater

I am a bit soft, I'll admit, but once you'd kindly given me the earplugs, it wasn't too bad at all
Your car goes very well considering how many changes you've made in such a short time!

Re: Remembrance Sunday 13th Group run/meet.
Following today's visit to the memorial at Stopham I thought this may be of interest.
A couple of years ago I tried to research my grandfathers WWI service history, there is an amazing archive of information out there, though somewhat ironically some was lost or damaged during WWII bombing raids. All I had to go one was my grandfathers service medal which was marked with his name, rank, regiment and service number. I did some research myself, but then stumbled across a chap called Paul Nixon who was recommended on a number of WWI forums. For a nominal fee he provided me with copies of all the records relating to my grandfather and a commentary which explained each of them. If this might be of interest to you his contact details can be found here;
