Yep enjoyed the day and the show, stocked up on consumables and had a few giggle as usual, we went for a walk round site before leaving.
had a bit of a trauma getting from show to parents, gave Neil my big sat Nav to sort, then my old faithfully decided it also did not want to talk to any satellite , had to use my phone , could not hear it and no phone holder, then did not trust fuel gauge and could not find a petrol station so put in spare can, came of motorway following a sign for petrol only to find it shut asked a local 8 miles mate turned into 20 miles that way, at least I got to see rockenham raceway as phone tried to get to king's Lynn, then battery light kept on flickering so had to stop and check that, front arch bracket has cracked, but made it in one piece .
At least I did not rain.
Just another normal day.

Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car show 2019
Really enjoyed the day yesterday, good to see everyone for the usual laughs.
When we went to leave Tony's ignition switch decided it had had enough and gave up working, with that sorted we carried on to the m40 to hear Kev on the radio saying his car had died. I stopped with him and we found he had run out of petrol ( his gauge was showing full still ) only had 1 can between us so put it in and carried on to the services which were 17miles away so we took it a bit easy but made it ok. Other than that it was a uneventful run back.
Good to see everyone, till next time

Yep, thanks chaps for a great time, good banter and a very welcoming bunch. nice to put some faces to names. First run out for me, loved it! (except the cold ). Thanks for the support getting me up and running. Nearly made it home before the fuel pump cut again. My quick/tempo/bodge fix worked though so home safely.
i have a couple of photos, will try and post it a bit.

Great run up from Egham except that my stupid, cheap Chinese camera wouldn't work - would have made a great video - going to have to bite the bullet and get a Gopro.
Apologies for bailing at the show but I'm the magazine editor for the RHOCAR club so I had to show my face on there stand. The show was pretty good, a bit busier than last year, I thought, even though the weather wasn't as good.
I had a bit of a scare on the way home - wires from my alternator decided to separate (butt connected together at one point) so no juice. Luckily, bit of gaffer tape got me home...
Fun day all round, thanks all....

Great run up there, thought the route was a cracker. Some weirdness though, really confusing queue on the wrong side of the road for the car boot sale for one.
Enjoyed the breakfast at Reg's Cafe but the highlight was seeing Steve take off after the JDM crowd with a sheet of flame firing from the exhaust.
Thought the show was ok but definitely not what it was. Burnt half my fuel lapping the show ground looking for the SKCC pitch!
Good to meet everyone and thanks for the welcome back, hope to make some more runs in the future. Here's some mobile phone footage......

Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car show 2019
Good run to Stoneleigh Dad and I left mine and met the others at Cobham Services at 7
Had a bit of a catch up, then convoyed to Regs cafe. Got Caught up in a bit of traffic from a road accident, but we would of been ok we had a row of ice cream vans beside us, shame it was so cold!
Quick fuel stop then on to Reg’s cafe, were we made our own parking spaces
Left the cafe for a nice Blat following / chasing David to Stoneleigh with a bit of a convoy behind us.
Got to Stoneleigh to find our usual pitch had a trailer, gazebo, camper and some random BEC in the middle
After a nice tour around the grounds we decided to retake our Pitch
It was a good show, shame they were limited as building works going on
Didn’t take very many photos, as we spent most of the time visiting MK
Had a great catch up / Banta mainly at me trying to sell things 2.1 Vulcan tuned Pinto Tiger,
After few more trips to MK we decided it was time to go, before Matts car had turned into a fully carbon car
Tony’s Spartan decided it wanted to stay and wouldn’t start but Tony managed to hot wire it. Plenty of practice from his youth got it started in no time
Convoyed to the nearest petrol garage, glances at my gauge almost full, didn’t think anymore of it, until I saw everyone disappearing in the distance.
Called over the radio I’m out while trying to battle with all the traffic coming from slip road.
Matt saw my hazards flashing and pulled over and coasted to him.
Gauge still showing nearly full. Lucky had a can of gogo juice, sign said 17miles to next services, so took a nice steady run to the services 17miles away. But got there and filled up tank and Jerry can to a massive £47, it’s never cost me that much before and it was the cheaper stuff.
Managed to get home but a few of us have a few repairs before the next one
Happy motoring
