This MG went like no other. Many 100BHP from 5+ litre if I recall correctly and big drag rubber on the back.

So there you have it. A flavour of the event. It's very well run and the commentators add a giggle. If the launch is crap they say so!
If you've not been, I recommend you give it a go next year. Where else can you see cars doing 140mph and bikes 160mph in the town centre. Well, not since they put the speed bump in front of Iceland LOL. The lentil eating snowflakes in the council office would rather it didn't take place, so go see it while you can.

Great stuff David, surprised at the £15 entry, was free not that long ago. I guess quite a few watched it from the road. Looks like the general quality of cars has gone up a level or two though.

That was at Dunsfold, it's a Merlin / Meteor powered thing

Tony I think that is en homage to the Napier railton, but I think it was the real Napier railton at Dunsfold.

I thought they were both there, that one & the Railton, but I was wrong - that's a different silver V12 aero-engined 1930's looking thing. Wheels, cyclewings, No. plates & rad shell, all different to the one at BSW.

Wow that's a surprise Tony well spotted ... It would be interesting to see how they compared in performance.
