Hi all.
Quick question. I currently have a Mountney steering wheel and would like to change this to something a bit more modern. Issue is the car uses an Austin Allegro column and just wondered if anyone knows if there is a boss kit you can get to mount something like a Sparco, Nardi or Momo for example?
Thanks.
Nick

Hi Nick,
If you measure the pitch circle diameter (PCD) of the current fixing screw for the steering wheel you should be able to find some alternatives. Looks like mountney are 101PCD, these people make an adaptor too,

Can you not cut the existing boss down and then drill it to take the smaller steering wheel or maybe fit a quick release in between the boss and steering wheel.
I'm just fitting a quick release to mine but couldn't get the larger size so have redrilled my boss to take it and made a adapter plate to fit onto the steering wheel.

Nick,
I had a similar plate fitted to the steering wheel on my Fury, I think I still have it, what PCD sizes do you need, might do the job?

I did exactly as Matt did, just reused the original bass from the crap Mountny, to the Momo, via a couple of round alui Big washers
