Have you used a Sierra steering column? If so there are mountings underneath for the bonnet release - I used the standard Sierra bonnet release handle & cable for the choke. It won't lock in place, but I found that pulling it on while cranking & for maybe 30 secs after it fires was enough.

Just a thought.

Isn't there still an exclusion zone within a defined diameter of the centre of the wheel that a choke knob could go.

That's what I'm hoping for - I've just mounted mine to the right of the steering wheel.

Not sure how big the exclusion zone is but fingers crossed it'll be ok.

hiyah ... thanks for reply ...i will go and have a look that could be an easey fix ,, you are right though, mine is a pinto with dellortos .it dose not need much choke to get going .

i think you are right there ,,,100mm clearance ,, round the steering wheel ,, good place i think
